Planning a trip to Vietnam, packing for Saipan and finalising trips to eight more countries in 2016

It's ironic that I'm writing about planning a trip to Vietnam tonight, considering I'm on my way to Saipan first for a few days of R&R and we're having our first official Travelife Iceland reunion the day after tomorrow at my house.

I'm so looking forward to seeing everyone from our Travelife to Iceland group again -- and you should see the elaborate menu we planned for dinner. It's worthy of the dinner we had all together in the Private Kitchen of Geranium, Scandinavia's first Michelin three-star restaurant, in Copenhagen last month.

However, Vietnam is not far behind in terms of dates and I'm landing in lively Ho Chi Minh city sooner than later in my never-ending #Travelife.

A TYPHOON IN SAIPAN

But, first, about my #Travelife to Saipan, which is really a trip just to get away from it all after working pretty hard for two weeks. We were supposed to go two weekends ago, but we decided to cancel at the very last minute because of a typhoon in the region. No use in heading for the beach if it's raining after all.

But finally, Saipan is in the cards next week -- and after that, it's really a never-ending #Travelife.

Watch out for this guy's foodie adventures in our upcoming issue. He really makes me laugh. On sale next week...

EXCITED TO SEE HO CHI MINH AGAIN

And then, after a few days in Manila, I'm headed to Ho Chi Minh city which I am increasingly getting excited about. I haven't been there in a few years so I thought I'd fly in for a few days to see what's new and what's exciting. So much has been happening in Ho Chi Minh in terms of luxury travel experiences.

Of course we've booked the best hotel in Ho Chi Minh for our stay, and this is a hotel that is being talked about a lot because of its novel ideas and design. There's simply never been a hotel quite like this one in Ho Chi Minh before.

THE BEST HOTEL AND RESTAURANTS
IN HO CHI MINH

So we've booked the best hotel and some very good restaurants in Ho Chi Minh, and I'm quite excited.

And now I'm looking up art galleries and artists to see, as well as craftsmen to visit and new things to do in Vietnam, in between closing our October-November issue of Travelife Magazine early and finalising trips to seven, if not eight more countries this year, as always living a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
