Closure on a third visit to Prague, and what I was listening to on my iPod.

The last two times I was in Prague, my life was slightly different, even if these trips weren’t very long ago.

The first visit was three years ago and the second visit was just last year.

And now, here I am again, spending close to a week in Prague, where Christmas is everywhere but in a very non-commercial way, and I’m with friends at the lovely Four Seasons Hotel in Prague.

FOUR SEASONS PRAGUE:
JUST LIKE BEING HOME

I love this hotel, and I’m so glad I’m back here, especially at this beautiful time of pre-Christmas with cold but fairly sunny weather.

The Four Seasons Prague is small but beautifully done and perfectly located. And the best thing about it is the service.

Every single person in this hotel provides amazing service, with a special mention to Stanos and Milan at the concierge desk who arranged my life so perfectly while I was here, and the entire team at the Italian restaurant of the hotel, which kind of became our “kitchen” during our stay.

REMEMBERING THE PAST

Without going into details, I can tell you that this trip to Prague of December 2015, as well as revisiting so many places I’d been to on two past trips, made me think about my life on those previous two trips and then now.

Something was on my mind on those two trips so my feelings then are as clear as day even now, especially as I was also staying at this same hotel.

HOPELESS
BY DIONNE FARRIS

Everything is so vivid that I still remember the song I was listening to as I packed my bags one afternoon in my suite at the Four Seasons Prague three years ago, to head back to Asia.

It was “Hopeless” by Dionne Farris, and this was playing on the iPod while I hurriedly threw everything into my bags before an evening flight.

SLEEPING WITH BUTTERFLIES
BY TORI AMOS

And  last year, as I walked through the Old Town Square, I was listening to “Sleeping with Butterflies” by Tori Amos.

On both trips, always with the same thing on my mind.

I COULD BE THE ONE
BY DONNA LEWIS

I’m not the kind of person who needs closure about anything — I honestly think closure is overrated and people should just get on or get over things — but in a way, this wonderful visit to Prague provided some form of closure, as always living and loving a #Travelife.

And, by the way, I’m listening to “I Could Be the One” by Donna Lewis on this trip.
