Also, adults over 38 years old said discovering views and taking in the scenery was the main purpose of their road trips. Meanwhile millennials want to just enjoy a new experience.

This new Hertz guide seeks to provide inspiration for new routes. It hopes to encourage travelers to experience iconic places and off-the-beaten track scenic drives and pit-stops. Moreover, the Hertz Road Trip Planner is a free resource guide. Of course, the highlight is the legendary Route 66. But there are also 30 other bespoke driving routes across the United States.
