This week, TravMedia celebrated the second annual TravMedia Summit. This professional development seminar brought together the leading influential members of the tourism industry in Asia. The high impact program was held at The Parisian Macao.
TRAVEL CONFERENCE SPEAKERS
Nick Wayland, TravMedia’s CEO and Founder, said: “Our aim in launching the TravMedia Summit in Asia was to create a platform to share ideas. We also wanted a platform to learn from leaders and each other, and be inspired to improve communications within the travel industry.
He added: “We want to upskill the market by sharing the collective knowledge of our TravMedia industry leaders and the wider community.
We’ve worked hard to bring together an expert panel. Our key speakers include Barry Neild of CNN Travel, Tara Loader Wilkinson of Billionaire, Benoit Badufle of the Monaco Government Tourism Office and many others.”
TRAVMEDIA TRAVEL INDUSTRY SUMMIT IN MACAO
The program featured a series of intensive sessions covering various topics. The highlights were changing media landscape, metrics to measuring duccessful PR, and effective pitch tactics. The delegates also discussed media authenticity, and sustainable tourism.

MEETING AT THE PARISIAN MACAO
The summit was held at The Parisian Macao. Then, in the evening, TravMedia organised a networking session poolside at The Parisian Macao. This enabled delegates to come together and discuss the day’s learnings. Many were also happy to forge stronger relationships with like-minded industry professionals.
Delegates to the TravMedia summit discussed the importance of reader authenticity, how to promote sustainable tourism trends, working effectively to plan press trips that deliver, delivering successful campaigns with new media, and how to measure PR beyond AVE.
The sessions were delivered by top-tier media and expert publicists in their fields. Th speakers from travel and tourism brands including Donna Campbell of Sands China Ltd, Gaynor Reid of AccorHotels, Pearl Yan of Hong Kong Tatler and Barry Neild of CNN Travel.
The networking session post-event allowed attendees to meet these influential media. They were also able to discuss out how to collaborate more effectively to create a stronger return from visiting media programs.
