This is actually the first time in something like 17 years that a Minister from Israel has visited the Philippines, and it is the first visit by a minister of tourism in particular.

REMEMBERING A HOLIDAY IN ISRAEL
WAY TOO LONG AGO.
TIME TO GO BACK.
As it was quite a small party, I enjoyed a lengthy conversation with Minister Levin, recalling my last trip to Israel about three years ago. I’d gone on my own to Jordan, ahead of my friends, and then crossed into Israel via the most expensive 20-minute flight I’ve ever taken.
With the Ambassador of Israel and the top executives of Philippine Airlines. Looking forward to a direct flight between Manila and Tel Aviv someday!
AND ITS CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY
But that trip had been absolutely mind blowing because I’d focused on the cutting edge and on the creative in Israel instead of on the usual religious and historical attractions.
I came away from that short but highly stimulating visit a changed person, with a deeper and wider perspective of this amazing world we live in.
