Someone forwarded this story to me sometime back. When I read it, I really had a good laugh. So I thought I’d re-share it with you today with a few revisions. 

Wherever you are in the world this holiday season 2017, we hope you’re having a wonderful time, and that you’re living a Travelife.

Several men were in the locker room of a golf club. Let’s suppose it was the Manila Golf Club. A cell phone on a bench rings and a man picks it up. He puts it on the hands-free speaker function since he’s busy dressing up and begins to talk.

Of course, everyone else in the room stops to listen to his conversation on speaker phone.

MAN:    “Hello?”

WOMAN:  “Hi honey, it’s me. Are you at the club?”

MAN:    “Yes.”

WOMAN:  “I’m at a shop now and I found this beautiful leather coat. It’s only 200,000 pesos. Is it okay if I buy it?”

MAN:    “Sure, go ahead. If you like it that much.”

WOMAN:  “Oh, and I also stopped by the Jaguar dealer on the way here and I saw the new Jaguar XJ. I really liked it.”

MAN:    “How much?”

WOMAN:  “8.5 million pesos, VAT included. And they’re going to give us UV window tints for free as well.”

MAN:    “That sounds good. Okay, let’s buy it. But for that price I want it loaded with all the options. Medium tint on the windows, please.”

WOMAN:  “Great. Oh, and one more thing. I was just talking to Jane, and she told me that the house I wanted last year in Forbes Park is back on the market. They’re asking 500 million for it.”

MAN:    “Well then go ahead and make an offer of 4.5 million. They’ll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra 300,000 if you really want the house.”

WOMAN:  “Okay. You so made my day. I’ll see you later! I love you so much!”

MAN:    “‘Bye! I love you too.” And then the man hangs up.  

By then, the other men in the locker room are staring at him in complete astonishment, mouths wide open. 

He then picks up the phone, slowly turns to all of them and asks:  “Anyone know whose phone this is?”
