We recently stayed at the Crowne Suite of the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria. This five-star luxury hotel is located in Ortigas, a business district in Manila. It is home to the famous Xin Tian Di Chinese restaurant and adjacent to the Robinsons Galleria shopping mall along EDSA. It is also near SM Megamall, the Podium Mall, Metrowalk and Eastwood City.
The Crowne Plaza hotel is also one of the top luxury hotels in Manila located near the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The San Miguel Corporation headquarters is also nearby. The hotel is a member of the IHG Group.
THE CROWNE SUITE OF THE CROWNE PLAZA MANILA GALLERIA IN ORTIGAS
The one-bedroom suite we stayed in was located on the 19th floor, along with the club lounge. It had a big foyer, a spacious living room and dining room, a guest powder room, and a kitchenette. The bedroom is located next to the living room.
And from the bedroom you can access the palatial master’s bathroom. The master’s bathroom had a big dressing room. The bathroom itself is perhaps the biggest among hotels in Manila.
From the suite, we had such a nice view of Manila that we decided to just order room service for our entire stay. Fortunately, there was a wide array of dishes to choose from since the room service menu also offered food from Xin Tian Di, the hotel’s popular Chinese restaurant.
We were lucky because Xin Tian Di is famous for its Chinese food. So we had an assortment of Western breakfasts and Filipino breakfasts in the morning, and Chinese food for dinner every night.
THE FILIPINO BREAKFAST
You might be wondering what exactly is a Filipino breakfast. The Filipino breakfast offered by the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas came with eggs, rice and Philippine pickles called atchara. For the main course, we had a choice of a cured meat called tocino, cured sausages called longganiza or marinated milkfish called bangus. We tried all of these and they were delicious.
DINNER PARTY AT THE CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL, WITH ROOM SERVICE FROM XIN TIAN DI
In the evenings, we could not resist inviting some friends over to enjoy the beautiful Crowne suite with us. The dining room of the suite can comfortably sit eight persons and it can accommodate more if needed. We ordered our food from Xin Tian Di via room service. Everything arrived perfectly plated. The room service team even assigned a waiter to ensure that our food would be served properly to our guests.
Of course, our friends were all impressed with the suite and with the service of the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria in Ortigas. In fact, after one delicious dinner with food from Xin Tian Di, our guests even said: “See you again for dinner in twelve months. Same food, same hotel, please.”
