Ritz-Carlton opens a luxury hotel in historic Xi’an

The Ritz-Carlton opened a luxury hotel in Xi’an, one of China’s most historic cities. Xi’an is home to the legendary 2,000-year-old terracotta warriors. Known as ‘the cradle of Chinese civilization‘, it was the ancient provincial capital of the Shaanxi region.

THE HISTORY OF XI’AN

Xi’an is one of China’s four ancient capitals. It was once home to thirteen imperial Chinese dynasties. The city also marks the eastern end of the ancient Silk Road. Today it is one of the China’s most important trading regions.
