In Iceland yesterday, living a #Travelife, we visited a farm just outside Reykjavik to experience riding some Icelandic horses across the beautiful countryside of Iceland.
Reykjavik is a small city so within a short drive you quickly find yourself in the countryside.
Icelandic horses can only be found in Iceland and they’re very different from regular horses as Icelandic horses are smaller and hairier.
They are also quite gentle and sweet-tempered. They’re very tame compared to regular horses.
A THERAPEUTIC EXPERIENCE
I got a horse whose name was “Boy” in Icelandic.
One of the horse trainers told me to talk to him so that we would “connect,” so that’s exactly what I did.
As a result, he was wonderful and riding this Icelandic horse really made my day. It was such a calming and therapeutic experience to ride him around such a beautiful natural environment of pine trees and lava rocks, in beautiful Iceland, living a never-ending #Travelife.
