Everything about this hotel is jaw-dropping, whether you will find this hotel’s opulent decor to your taste or not. The Reverie Saigon is an explosion of colour, lines, styles and designs so that when you walk around, you won’t be able to figure out exactly what century, what inspiration or what school of design you are in.
Nevertheless, I assure you that whether you are a minimalist or a maximalist in your personal design preferences, all you will be able to really say is “Wow.” I’ve been in a couple of amazing hotels like this in my Travelife, and I’ve always loved them.
THE PANORAMA DELUXE SUITE OF THE REVERIE SAIGON
I stayed in Room #3507 of the Reverie Saigon, which for me is one of the best rooms in the entire hotel, unless you’re gunning for the presidential suite. All the suites are lovely in their own ways, of course — and I mean this literally, as each suite has a different design and inspiration.
There is even an ultra-modern all-white suite designed by the Hong Kong lifestyle design store Visionaire.
But my corner Panorama Deluxe room had a fantastic panoramic view of the best of Ho Chi Minh that you can see the entire city below you and you don’t actually need to go out anymore.
The layout too was perfect. I would book this room again on my second stay — yes, there will definitely be a second one. This room is also on the club floor, so you have access to all the club lounge facilities on the 38th floor.
THE BEST SPA IN HO CHI MINH
The other reason to return to The Reverie Saigon is its amazing spa. This is hands down the best spa in Ho Chi Minh right now, and everything is done to perfection. No corners were cut to make this spa and every detail is finished to the finest quality.
The spa is also spacious and very well laid out. I went here everyday of my stay, and on two days I tried their brightening facial treatment and their Vietnamese body treatment.
VIETNAMESE BEAUTY TREATMENTS AT THE SPA OF THE REVERIE SAIGON
Both treatments were excellent and I highly recommend them. The Vietnamese body treatment is a mixture of all the traditional healing methods in Vietnam, so it includes a deep tissue massage and also the Vietnamese cupping method to supposedly draw out toxins from your body.
On every day of my stay, however, I also spent some time in the spa to enjoy the infrared Himalayan salt sauna and the steamroom. The infrared salt sauna was one of the best sauna experiences I’ve ever had.
THE BEST SAUNA TO USE: NEAR INFRARED SALT SAUNA
There are many saunas in top hotels that are wonderful to look at. Some of the loveliest sauna in the world are very spacious and even have floor-to-ceiling views of the outside.
But this is the first one I’ve experienced which has the sauna infrared technology — which is the best technology for a sauna as the heat is maintained low enough to allow you to stay comfortably inside for a long time — that is most effective in drawing out toxins, combined with the Himalayan salt wall that further aids the detoxification process.
To get the infrared sauna plus the salt wall is a big deal if you’re into sauna.
SAUNA ON MY WISH LIST
In fact, I’ve made up my mind to someday recreate this sauna in one of my homes, somewhere in the world. It’s just the right size for private use and the design is beautiful.
In contrast to the opulence and glamour of the hotel, the sauna is very simple and modern. I inspected every single material in that sauna as I obviously spent lots of time in it, and every material and finishing is the best quality.
So even if I had a very busy schedule in Ho Chi Minh, living a #Travelife, I found some way to make time for the spa. Fortunately, the spa at The Reverie Saigon is open until 10 PM.
So if you’re looking for a nice mini-break which involves lots of good food and spa time in an amazing hotel, look no further than The Reverie Saigon in Vietnam, especially as there are lots of direct flights to Ho Chi Minh from around Asia. Once you check in, you won’t want to go out.
