Resorts World Manila Masters on the Asian Tour is offering a US$1 million prize this November 2014, with as a new sponsor

Yesterday, I went for lunch with the senior executives of Resorts World Manila at their Genting Club to discuss the upcoming Resorts World Manila Masters on the Asian Tour.

The second edition of the Resorts World Manila Masters on the Asian Tour will offer a record prize fund of US$1 million in November.

The highly successful Resorts World Manila Masters, which offered a prize fund of US$750,000 last year, also has a new presenting sponsor. is coming onboard when the prestigious event returns to Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club from November 20 to 23, 2014.

Asian Tour Chairman Kyi Hla Han lauded Resorts World Manila’s decision to raise the tournament’s prize money by another US$250,000. 

He believes the million-dollar purse will further elevate its stature in Asia.

Kyi Hla Han said:  “With great title sponsors such as Resorts World Manila and a new presenting sponsor in, professional golf in Asia will continue to grow and host exciting tournaments such as the Resorts World Manila Masters presented by”

He added: “I have every belief that this tournament will become one of the most highly anticipated tournaments on the Asian Tour.” 


The 2nd Resorts World Manila (RWM) Masters is a US$1 million world-class golf competition set to take place from November 20 to 23, 2014, in the Philippines.

The tournament will be held at the prestigious Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club.

By signing a landmark five-year agreement with the Asian Tour, the official sanctioning body for professional golf in the region, RWM brings world-class competition to the Philippines not only by exposing local athletes to international play, but also by putting the Philippines on the international golfing radar.
