As my non-expandable suitcase staged a strike on me this morning, refusing to do any more overtime or overwork, I’ve decided to have a leisurely breakfast.
And then I’m spending the rest of the time by the pool.
A SRI LANKAN BREAKFAST
As it’s my last breakfast in Sri Lanka for the foreseeable future, I’ve ordered a proper one this time of their egg pancakes with spices. Of course, I’ve also had my fruits and kola kanda vegetable soup.
The pool at my hotel, the Galle Face, is right next to the Indian Ocean, and it’s a seawater pool. So you have the best of both worlds, with a seawater pool and the sea right next to it.
DINNER BY A GOLDEN BEACH
And this evening we’ll be by a golden beach for an al fresco dinner at Colombo’s most romantic hotel, cooked by Sri Lanka’s most famous chef.
Not a bad way to end another day, living a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.
