City of Dreams Manila is offering a holiday menu at its signature restaurants. These are The Tasting Room, Crystal Dragon, Nobu Manila, Red Ginger, Café Society, and chocolate shop Chocol8.
HOLIDAY MENU AT CITY OF DREAMS SIGNATURE RESTAURANTS
With “Tease the Season” as the theme, the integrated luxury resort teases the palate with lavish holiday menu choices. This makes City of Dreams Manila a great destination for a memorable Christmas celebration.
THE TASTING ROOM HOLIDAY MENU
The Tasting Room highlights the flavor of the season from December 23 to 31, 2018. The menus come with an option for wine pairing.
The Tasting Room’s holiday menu starts with Artichoke and Foie Gras with Porto Artichoke Broth, Comte, Ginseng and Trevise. This is paired with Domaine Mittnacht Freres, Gewürztraminer 2015.
This is followed by Lobster Bisque with Grapefruit, Lychee, Espelette Pepper, Rillettes, Kimchi, and Mayonnaise. This is paired with Bouchard Pere & Fils, Puligny-Montrachet 2013.
THE MAIN COURSE FOR CHRISTMAS AT THE TASTING ROOM
Then it continues with Macaroni Truffles with Banana Blossom, Celery, Parmesan, and Chicken Juice. This is paired with Nautilus, Pinot Gris 2013. Finally, we have the Mallard Duck Breast with Red Cabbage, Beetroot, Braised Duck Legs, and Dolce Forte. This is paired with Estate Montalto, Mornington Peninsula, Pinot Noir 2016.
For dessert, the chef has created a medley of Chocolate with Ginger-Exotic Fruits and Pomegranate. This is paired with the Jurancon, Clos Lapeyre 2013.
HOLIDAY MENU AT CRYSTAL DRAGON
Crystal Dragon celebrates the holidays with a six-course festive season menu. The Combination Happiness platter includes Wok-fried Diced Turkey in Golden Cup with Brown Bean Sauce. It also has a Frisee Salad Roll in Honey Vinaigrette and Deep-fried Crispy Prawn Ball with Kataifi. There is also Double-boiled Quail with Huais han Yam in American Ginseng Soup.
Next is Steamed Cod Fish with Black Garlic Sauce and Garden Greens. Braised Pork Ribs with Red Wine Vinegar Reduction follows. This is served with steamed “Yellow Rose Man Tao.” This is Braised E-fu Noodles with Chinese Cabbage and Lobster Tails. The meal ends with Double-boiled Peach with Snow Fungus and Red Dates.
MENU AT NOBU MANILA AT COD MANILA
The Special Omakase menu of Nobu is a Japanese gastronomic experience. This December, the holiday menu at Nobu starts with Salmon Red Onion Shiso Salsa with Caviar. This is followed by the Chef’s Choice Chirashi; and Yellowtail with Turnip Yuzujala Dressing.
The menu also offers Sous Vide Baby Octopus with Roasted Baby Vegetables. Then comes Wagyu Beef Katsu with Cauliflower Panacotta and Apple Sauce. Peruvian Vegetable Soup with Quinoa follows.
For dessert, Nobu is serving a Black Forest treat of Chocolate Macarons with Yuzu Cream and Black Cherry.
SPECIAL CHRISTMAS MENU AT NOBU
From December 22 to 27, Nobu is also offering a Christmas Special Omakase menu. The chefs are making Toro Tartare with caviar and fresh oyster in Nobu salsa and a Signature Sashimi Trio composed of Yellowtail Jalapeno, Hotate Ceviche, and Snow Crab with CornPuree.
Then they are serving a Chirashi composed of the chef’s selection of sushi. This comes with Salmon Sashimi Salad with Matsuhisa Dressing and Sea Bass Yuzu Miso with Green Papaya “noodles.” Next, guests will enjoy Aka Miso Braised Short Ribs with Cauliflower Puree and Onion Dust, and a Clear Soup of Seasonal Mushrooms, Aji Amarillo and Cilantro.
The Omakase menu concludes with a Christmas Truffle. This is a delicate medley of Red Velvet Sponge, White Chocolate, Cream Cheese, Ganache, and Hazelnut ice cream.
NEW YEAR MENU AT NOBU
To celebrate the New Year, Nobu is preparing an eight-course Special Omakase. The chefs are serving Seared Toro Tartare with Caviar and Fresh Oyster in Maui Onion Salsa; and a Signature Sashimi Trio. For the sashimi trio, they are including Yellowtail Jalapeno, Tachiuo Tiradito, Unagi Corn Puree with Truffle Oil; and a Lapu-lapu Sashimi Salad in Goma Dressing.
Then, guests can dine on Fresh Main Lobster with Inaniwa Noodles, Yuzu Dressing, and Crispy Shitake; and Seared Wagyu Beef with Braised Daikon and Garlic. To end the meal, the chefs are preparing Soba with Shrimp Tempura; and Ivory Yuzu Cream with Poached Pears and Milk Chocolate Nori Chips.
CHRISTMAS FOOD AT CAFE SOCIETY
Cafe Society and Chocol8 are also offering a wide selection of holiday treats and cakes, along with breads, cookies, and handcrafted chocolates. These outlets are selling the Christmas goodies until December 31.
Specifically, Chocolate Santa Claus confections in small and large sizes are on sale at Chocol8. Meanwhile Café Society is offering Turkey Cranberry pie, traditional and customized Christmas hampers, along with gingerbread houses.
