The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) is pleased to announced the 30th Guam Micronesia Island Fair, which is scheduled to take place from May 2 to May 6 at the historic capitol of Hagatna. GVB will bring delegations from Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Chuuk, Pohnpei, Marshall Islands, and Yap. This is the biggest annual cultural event of Guam Visitors Bureau showcasing the vibrant cultures of Micronesia.
Admission for the five-day fair is free and open for everybody. Fair goers can expect cultural exhibitors, live music entertainment and interactive theme parks highlighting the uniqueness of the culture of participants. Visitors can learn the customs and traditions that are unique to our sisters and brothers from our neighboring islands, featuring the master carvers, blacksmiths, traditional sailing experts, jewelers, weavers, dancers, musicians and chefs. There will be artists and vendors that will have a variety hand-made products for display and purchase. In addition, there will be a vast amount of food and beverage vendors with items for sale.
The food and music that accompanies this fair is bound to entertain you and tickle your taste buds for a memorable experience. While you are enjoying, watching and participating the fair, differences may stand out and you will see a lot of similarities from other islands.
