There were even a couple of very famous French celebrities at the next table, although none of the guests gave them a second look as it wasn’t the kind of crowd to act any differently with famous people around.
Here are a couple of things I observed about my fellow diners at the Palais Namaskar yesterday. The crowd was unlike that of almost any other hotel I’ve been to in Marrakech.
1) Everyone looked like they stepped out of the pages of a fashion magazine, but in a subtle way. Think casual chic.
2) Everyone wore sunglasses.
3) Everyone was at least trilingual, as the conversations at the tables switched effortlessly between French, English and Spanish, with some Arabic among the local guests.
GREAT SUNDAY COMFORT FOOD
As for the food, everything was wonderful and just right for brunch on a beautiful winter day, living a Travelife.
I had several helpings from the antipasti table.
Then I ordered an asparagus risotto from the kitchen, and organic salmon and lamb chops from the chefs manning the grill.
SINFULLY DELICIOUS DESSERTS
For dessert, I tried every variety of chocolate dessert on the table and enjoyed everything thoroughly, on just another wonderful Sunday somewhere in this big and beautiful world, living a never- ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.
