|Pumpkin pie to accompany the turkey dinner|
last night, in Manila, living a Travelife
I ordered the Christmas turkey package from the Marriott Hotel in Manila, and I picked it up yesterday. The package was so heavy that someone had to bring it to my van in a large trolley.
The turkey package, which is good for 12 to 15 people, turned out wonderfully.

I was so glad I ordered this, enabling me to host Christmas Eve dinner at home and without the usual stresses of preparing a full-course meal.
I chanced upon Marriott’s turkey package entirely by accident, too.
Last week, I was at the Marriott to have dinner at Cru Steakhouse, and I saw the hotel’s turkey package order promotion on a poster in the lobby as I walked past.
So I ordered it the next day for pick-up on the afternoon of the 24th.
The Christmas turkey package of the Marriott was a traditional package complete with all the trimmings.
It came with gravy sauce and cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes, assorted vegetables, real corn bread, a pumpkin pie and then an apple pie for dessert.
The turkey was perfectly done. I usually like the dark meat of the turkey as this is often more juicy.
But last night, I also had the white meat, and this was really delicious, especially when eaten with stuffing, a mixture of all the sauces, and just a little bit of trimming, on just another wonderful Christmas Eve in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.
