PRA celebrates annual get-together with member retirees

In time for the yuletide season, the Philippine Retirement Authority (PRA) held its Retirees’ Get-Together & Yuletide Celebration last December 15 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

Event participants included the Special Resident Retirees’ Visa (SRRV) holders  foreign nationals and former Filipino citizens who chose the Philippines as their second home together with PRA officers & staff, media partners, and industry stakeholders.

Guests of honor were Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Wanda Corazon Tulfo-TeoDOT Assistant Sec. Ms. Lourdes Japson; Duty Free Philippines Corporation Chief Operating Officer Vicente Pelagio A. AngalaPresidential Adviser on OFWs & Muslim Concerns Sec. Abdullah D. Mama-o; and Aklan Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member, Atty. Immanuel P. Sodusta.

It was a night of fun and camaraderie, with PRA’s General Manager and CEO, Atty. Bienvenido Chy delivering his year-end message, and leading the ceremonial toast with Sec. Teo, who likewise extended her message of goodwill to all attendees. Both heads shared their singing prowess to the amusement of the crowd with Mr. Chy singing Elvis Presley songs.

This annually-held event, replete with sumptuous Filipino food, entertainment, prizes, and sense of family, is among those that make this country worthy to stay in by foreign nationals regardless of their race, culture, and traditions.

PRA, a government-owned and controlled corporation attached to the Department of Tourism, is mandated to attract foreign nationals and former Filipinos to reside, retire, and invest in the Philippines, with SRRV as its core product.
