The Hyatt Hotels is opening its first Hyatt Regency in Bangkok later this year, and Sammy Carolus, a veteran Hyatt professional and seasoned hotelier, is in charge of this groundbreaking new luxury hotel property in Thailand. We're lucky to have caught up with Sammy in different luxury hotels around the world, including at The Barai in Hua Hin and at the Grand Hyatt Taipei.

Prior to this appointment, he was the general manager at Grand Hyatt Taipei. “After an extremely rewarding experience in Taipei, I am excited to be returning to the Land of Smiles,” said Carolus, who first moved to Thailand in 2003 as director of marketing for Hyatt Regency Hua Hin & THE BARAI. “The new Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit is set to be the jewel in the Hyatt Regency crown and I look forward to welcoming our guests at the grand opening in the summer of 2018.”
