For our one week in Ho Chi Minh, living a #Travelife, some of the Travelife Magazine team members stayed at the Le Meridien Saigon, which is Vietnam's newest five-star luxury hotel property and a member of the Starwood Group.
VIEWS OF SAIGON RIVER
The Meridien is right across the Saigon River so if you book one of the deluxe riverview rooms, you get quite a stylish and yet minimalist and contemporary hotel room with a view.
For me, one of the most interesting features of this hotel is its cavernous interior as the entire middle of the hotel is a wonderful empty rectangular space lined on four sides by corridors and rooms. If you're one of these traveling fitness enthusiasts eager to do 10,000 steps a day on a Fitbit or a Jawbone, well, the Le Meridien Saigon is the hotel for you.
It's a very nice walk around this empty space on each floor, full of light and art.
This new hotel in Saigon is full of quirky design touches and lots of useful and fun technology. It's the kind of hotel hip businessmen and techie types would especially appreciate as it has a lively vibe without losing the all-essential luxury aspect.
It's also filled with bold colors like bright red sofas and sea green panel lightings on the walls.
THE EXPLORE SPA OF
LE MERIDIEN SAIGON
I tried the Explore Spa of the Le Meridien Saigon because I heard the Bamboo Bar adjacent to it is an interior design wonder, and it supposedly has the pool with the best view in Ho Chi Minh.
Here are photos of the Bamboo Bar, and it truly is stunning. This is the first views you have of it once you get off the elevator, and then the spa reception is just after that.
Meanwhile, the spa facilities of the Le Meridien Ho Chi Minh are wonderful. The treatment rooms are nicely designed, the sauna is good, and the spa has a pretty extensive menu of wellness and beauty treatments.
A GREAT MASSAGE IN SAIGON
I've never had a bad massage yet in Vietnam and this time was no exception. The therapist at the Le Meridien Explore spa was excellent and I couldn't help marvelling at her strength at massage.
This spa uses Phytomer products from France, by the way, along with traditional Vietnamese herbs and oils.
After the treatment, I got ginger tea and a cold towel brought to me by the pool, where I spent the rest of the afternoon on a lounge bed, enjoying the views and the peace and quiet of the pool with the best view in Ho Chi Mihn, living a #Travelife.
