Boeing 737-400 jet crashes into a road in Bergamo, Italy

Just when I thought we'd had enough of close calls involving airplanes and air travel, the news tonight from Europe is that a Boeing 737-400 jet has just skidded off the runway of Bergamo Airport in Italy and crashed into a motorist road.

The Boeing 737-400 jet, used by the company DHL for cargo but owned by ASL Airlines of Hungary, literally broke through the road barriers so that its body actually stuck out into the road.

This certainly caused a commotion, not to mention a traffic jam. Fortunately, the crew onboard the Boeing 737-400 were not hurt.
