Cherry blossoms in the Kansai region of Japan. And about Madrid Fusion Manila 2016 from this weekend.

I'm typing this out on my mobile phone on the Nozomi bullet train between Kansai in western Japan and Tokyo, living a #Travelife.

This is the fastest train in Japan, if not in the world, right now, and the green car is very comfortable.

GOING ON HANAMI
IN KANSAI

After a nice relaxing weekend of good food and cherry blossoms in western Japan, I'm on my way back to Tokyo on the bullet train to pick up my luggage and then jump on an airplane to Manila to make it in time for a series of interesting events for Madrid Fusion Manila 2016.
COCKTAILS, DINNERS & COOKING LESSONS
FOR MADRID FUSION MANILA 2016

Travelife Magazine is a proud partner of this international gastronomic event, by the way.

So straight from the airport I'm heading for a cooking lesson with a famous chef from Spain and then onwards to an amazing gastronomic dinner by another famous chef from Spain.

I already missed a great tapas night this weekend, but I'll be on time for the best events, including the formal reception for Madrid Fusion Manila 2016 at Malacanan Palace.

CHERRY TREES IN FULL BLOOM.
AND ABOUT A GOOD NEW HOTEL IN KANSAI.

But back to a nice weekend enjoying the beautiful cherry blossoms of Japan, which were in full bloom this weekend everywhere.

We stayed in a really lovely hotel, by the way, which is pretty new and still under the radar. As everyone knows, I'm quite picky about hotels and this hotel gets top marks in my books, even if it isn't an over-the-top amazing kind of hotel.

Every detail of this new hotel in Kansai was in very good taste and the service was impeccable.

We were lucky with the weather as well, as it was fine and cool throughout.

We walked by a river, climbed a hill and spent some time in a shrine.

Many people seemed to have the same idea, to take advantage of the good weather and the cherry blossoms in full bloom, as everyone was out for walks and picnics in the park, enjoying the sakura and living their own versions of a never-ending #Travelife.
