The Turkish Airlines inflight experience from Manila to Europe via Istanbul

By the way, this sure made my day.
I walked into the plane last night
and look at what they were distributing in business class...

Good morning from Istanbul after a completely painless flight from Manila to Turkey onboard Turkish Airlines, living a #Travelife.

Talk about a nice way to cross continents. I flew out of Manila late at night, giving me a full day in the city to get everything done and even get a massage at 430 PM, and then I was landing in Turkey after dinner, two movies, and breakfast.

And a full 7.5 hours of sleep.

TURKISH AIRLINES FROM ASIA
TO EUROPE

Not bad at all. I used to fly Turkish Airlines a lot from Hong Kong to Europe via Istanbul as it was always a convenient connection for me, the inflight experience is great, and Turkish Airlines probably has the widest airline coverage in Europe.

The latter is more important than you realise.

ONE OF THE WIDEST FLIGHT NETWORKS
IN EUROPE

Most airlines will fly to a major city like Paris or London, but very few fly direct to secondary cities. However, Turkish Airlines has flights to almost every major secondary city as well, so you avoid too many transfers.

You also avoid the horrors of landing in a major city like Paris or London and then having to transfer to a domestic flight with your baggage and all in a crowded airport.

DIRECT FLIGHTS FROM MANILA
TO EUROPE

And now Turkish Airlines flies direct from Manila to Istanbul, and the experience will only get better because they'll be flying the new airplanes with better seats for business class and economy beginning around the third week of October.

THE LITTLE THINGS COUNT

Last night, I also realised the many little details that Turkish Airlines offers that distinguish it from so many other airlines.

They have a chef onboard to prepare the meals and the stewardesses fixes up a proper duvet and sleeping pad when you are ready to sleep.

DINNER BY CANDLELIGHT
IN THE SKY

And last night, they even put battery-operated candles on each business class table, with a cute little sign saying something like "Dining by candlelight in the sky."

It certainly felt like it. And talk about a nice and painless way to to get to Europe, living a never-ending #Travelife.
