Life at the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul includes a wellness bar with health teas

So this morning, there I was at the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul, living a #Travelife.

I arrived at 4 AM and I had six hours to kill at the airport.

Interestingly, the six hours at the lounge passed in no time as I caught up on work and drank copious amounts of Turkish Airlines' special blends of herbal teas in an effort to undertake some sort of do-it-yourself detox before two weeks of good eating in Morocco officially began.

LIKE THE BACK OF MY HAND

I know the Turkish Airlines' lounge very well as I was among the first business class passengers to see it when it reopened. What an amazing sight this was when it first opened as there was lounge quite like it in the world.

After that, I used the Turkish Airlines lounge in Istanbul quite frequently.

So I know where all the electric sockets are, what kind of food is served in what corner, and what the best things to eat are.

HANGING OUT AT THE OLIVE BAR

I love the olive bars and wellness tea bars they have everywhere in the lounge. The olive bar, for instance, has something like 12 different kinds of olives!

As for the wellness teas, I love the sage tea and the echinacea tea blended specially for Turkish Airlines. The latter is supposed to boost your immunity when traveling. They also have first-pressed tomato juice in this lounge, and I drink lots of that as well.

The most interesting aspects of this lounge are the movie theater with popcorn at the entrance, a billiard table in the library, a grand piano somewhere, and even an energizer contraption complete with a bed to lie on.

So between work, a hot shower, and so much tea, time soon passed and I was finally on my way to Casablanca, for another wonderful chapter in my never-ending #Travelife.
