All about how Pilates and crispy fried chicken with gravy go so well in a Travelife

This morning, there I was at UP Pilates studio doing my second session for the week, living a #Travelife.

For some reason, this week's sessions were so enjoyable but really tough. On Tuesday morning I had to drag myself out of bed to get to the studio first thing in the morning, having had all of three hours of sleep the previous night.

ANOTHER FUN CHALLENGE

"Something really easy today, please," I requested of Brenda Lim, my Pilates instructor and the owner of the UP Pilates studio. Perhaps she heard wrong because I was huffing and puffing through that session, which I usually never do.

Today was difficult as well, for some reason. Maybe she thought she should work me harder than usual before I went on holiday for three weeks.

The good thing was that I loved the movements and I was really getting it.

ALL ABOUT RYHTMN AND MOTION

Pilates is about coordinated movements so it's not just exercise. And I find that when I take my focus away for even a moment I lose that coordination that's so essential to Pilates.

The bad thing was that when I wasn't in the zone, I was doing my Pilates movements while thinking of eating crispy fried chicken. I just couldn't get this image out of my mind.

CHICKEN AND PILATES GO SO WELL TOGETHER.
AT LEAST IN A TRAVELIFE.

And it was all about the fast food-type of crispy fried chicken that's so bad for you, complete with gravy and rice. Lots of rice.

And, oh yes, iced tea or a Diet Coke to go with it. And lots of ice.

In other words, everything I shouldn't eat.

Well, I'll leave you to guess exactly what I did after my Pilates session, living a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
