Travelife Magazine's Vietnamese Cooking Class with the Masters of New World Saigon at New World Manila Bay

Last Saturday, at the New World Manila Bay, living a #Travelife, we organized the Travelife Magazine Vietnamese cooking class with the masters together with the hotel's senior management team and the top chefs visiting from the New World Saigon.

On sale everywhere now. Scroll down to read more....

EXCLUSIVE FOR TRAVELIFE MAGAZINE
READERS & FRIENDS

We took over The Fireplace, which is the fine dining restaurant of the New World Manila, and arranged it for an exclusive cooking class set-up for Travelife Magazine readers and friends.

It was such a happy and happily fully-booked event, with a wonderful four-course lunch served after the class, including the dishes we had just learned to cook.

LEARNING HOW TO MAKE
VIETNAMESE SPRING ROLLS
& VIETNAMESE PHO NOODLE SOUP

These included a hands-on class on making Vietnamese spring rolls, including the make-or-break sauce for the spring rolls.

And how to make Vietnamese pho noodle soup from scratch, beginning from making the proper soup base from baked bones, herbs, and spices.

A VIETNAMESE STICKY RICE DESSERT

We ended our class with a tutorial on how to make a Vietnamese sticky rice dessert with pandan leaves and coconut milk.

LEARNING HOW TO MAKE
VIETNAMESE COFFEE

This was followed by a demonstration of the famous Vietnamese coffee, which is a mixture of very strong Arabica coffee and very sweet condensed milk -- and everyone got to take home their own authentic Vietnamese coffee filters afterwards.

A REALLY DELICIOUS RIB-EYE
FOR LUNCH AT THE FIREPLACE
ON NEW WORLD MANILA BAY

We also got to sample some of The Fireplace's rib-eye for lunch, reminding me again of why I've always liked this restaurant.

In fact, I've made up my mind to book it for dinner before I leave for my #Travelife to Morocco, sooner rather than later, for another adventure in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
