Braving the terrible rains and the horrific traffic tonight all over the city, but still living a #Travelife, I made my way to Resorts World Manila last night for the opening of its newest concept restaurant, New York Pinoy Deli (NYPD).

Of course, as you might already surmise, the NYPD is inspired by New York, that centre of the world that never sleeps. And how apt this is, as I don't think Resorts World sleeps either.

Resorts World Manila is on 24-hour entertainment call and there's always something to do regardless of what time you go.

A GRAND LAUNCH FOR NYPD
WITH GREAT FOOD

During the grand launch last night, guests got lost in all the big city gourmet thrills.

True to its name, NYPD served up a spread inspired by the Big Apple’s epic food crawls, offering the fanfare of a thriving food scene with a touch Filipino flair.

NYPD is built on the strong foundation of a New York deli,” says RWM Chief Hotel Operations Officer Scott Sibley. “The idea was to bring a very chic, wholesome, home-cooked food from New York to Manila. This is something diners here have never seen before with the décor, the lighting, the feel, and the flavors of New York.”

I TRIED EVERYTHING,
IN SPITE OF A MASSIVE LUNCH YESTERDAY

It was truly a feast for food lovers, I can attest wholeheartedly, as I had rounds and rounds of delicious deli food last night, even after a big Japanese lunch yesterday that involved steak cooked on a grill, three scoops of ice cream and three slices of cake -- all just for me. S

So I was completely full still when I got to Resorts World, but I just couldn't resist trying everything anyway.

Lunch yesterday somewhere else in Manila,

THE CENTRAL PARK BUFFET
HAS EVERYTHING DELICIOUS

Diners with a hefty appetite, on the other hand, can will also enjoy the NYPD’s Central Park Island Buffet which serves savory soups, fresh greens and compound salads, as well as a crepe station that creates custom wraps with different sauces and ingredients including generous amounts of hearty lechon kawali.

FIVE CHEFS JOIN FORCES

The wide food offerings served at NYPD is the product of an equally diverse team of culinary geniuses which includes Sibley, Senior Director for Food and Beverage Hubertus Cramer, Director for Culinary Arts Cyrille Soenen, Pastry Chef Michael Lopez, and the man in charge of the NYPD kitchen, Chef de Cuisine Angelo “Chubby” Timban.

Between the five of us, we have an amazing mixture of ideas, views, cooking styles and techniques and extensive experiences working in kitchens all over the world. With NYPD, we wanted every dish on the plate to be amazing and for people to experience that as well,” Sibley explains.

A UNIQUE RESTAURANT IN MANILA

NYPD offers fare that's much better that anything you’ll get in the city. This restaurant is topnotch. It’s an experience that you will not find anywhere else in Metro Manila,” Sibley says.

Take his word for it (and mine), let NYPD take you to New York and back only at Resorts World Manila, for a wonderful evening in Manila, feeling like you've just been to New York, living a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
