Black Angus beef and a dim sum lunch at LiLi, the Chinese restaurant of the New World Manila Bay Hotel

The other day in Manila, living a #Travelife, I ventured downtown to have lunch at LiLi, the Chinese restaurant of the New World Manila.

LiLi is one of my favourite Chinese restaurants in Manila as it has very good food and a lovely ambience. I've been going here for years.

On sale everywhere from next week.

DIM SUM ON THE MENU

They just happened to have their dim sum all-you-can-eat promo on for 888 pesos, so we took this and then also ordered a couple of dishes from the a la carte menu.

"My doctor in Tokyo said I should eat more beef," I announced to everyone, as if this was a license to  order something deliciously unhealthy.

But, anyhow, that's exactly what we did.

BLACK ANGUS BEEF,
AS ORDERED BY THE DOCTOR

We ordered Black Angus beef sautéed in XO sauce to go with all the dim sum we had ordered, and we did get rather carried away by the tempting offers on the dim sum menu.

Our dim sum probably came up to at least 15 orders, and our table was so full of little plates at one point that we had to get another table to attach to it.

A BUSY DAY AT THE
NEW WORLD MANILA BAY HOTEL

Of course, I washed everything down with a pot of vintage Pu-erh tea and my favourite mango pudding, which is prepared table-side at LiLi.

LiLi was very full for a weekday lunch, and several friends stopped by to say hello as we dined, all together making for another enjoyable afternoon in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
