Opposite House collaborates with Lanvin for a wonderful afternoon tea in Hong Kong

The Opposite House, a boutique hotel in Hong Kong, has teamed up with leading French luxury fashion house brand Lanvin to launch a Love Lanvin inspired afternoon tea at Sureño in Hong Kong this spring, until May 17, 2015.

The Love Lanvin inspired afternoon tea comes with a chic cotton tote bag featuring hand-drawn illustrations by Alber Elbaz who is the creative mind behind Lanvin.

Meanwhile, the theme Love Lanvin depicts the love of Jeanne Lanvin the brand’s founder, toward her daughter Marguerite Marie Blanche who became the main source of inspiration.

The joy of motherhood sparked the entrepreneurship in Lanvin and as Louise de Vilmorin has expressed “She sewed to dazzle her daughter and in doing so she dazzled the world.

For this afternoon tea, the chefs at Sureño have blended timeless fashion and exquisite culinary skills to create a memorable afternoon tea experience.

The bakery and pastry offerings include: pistachio & raspberry mini eclairs, vanilla & strawberry panna cotta with macaroon, mini carrot cake & mascarpone cream, guanaja chocolate cake, and Mandarin & white chocolate tart.

The freshly baked scones include rose & raspberry and vanilla, served with Devonshire clotted cream, organic acacia honey, and Executive Pastry Chef Franck Istel’s own recipe of homemade strawberry vanilla jam.

Meanwhile, the savoury selections include smoked salmon with sour cream & dill and classic egg with mayonnaise mini burgers.

Guests may choose from a range of tea selections, from classic English Breakfast and Earl Grey to herbal and flower blends such as fresh citrus mint and chamomile.

After a relaxing afternoon, guests are welcome to take home the special placemat and napkin personally sketched by Elbaz. The vibrant design of both placemats and napkins further emphasized the theme of the afternoon tea, making it truly one-of-a-kind, and perfect for a never-ending #Travelife.
