An Austrian-themed dinner for Chaine des Rotisseurs members tonight. And about taking fashion inspiration from Empress Elisabeth of Austria.

In Manila tonight, living a #Travelife, I'm attending the annual formal dinner of the Chaine des Rotisseurs society.

The theme for tonight's black-tie event -- gentlemen are asked to come in tuxedoes while ladies are expected in long gowns -- is a grand Austro-Hungarian gastronomic dinner.

The ladies have been requested to take their fashion cues from the Empress Elisabeth, or "Sisi" as she is often referred to, of Austria.

I was planning to wear a hand-painted silk gown I'd bought in Sri Lanka tonight.

But then I saw the circular from Chaine des Rotisseurs, and thank goodness I did, and so I've switched to a more Western style of dress, for just another wonderful dinner in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful #Travelife.
