An advanced birthday lunch at Benjarong of the Dusit Thani, and a taping of the ANC show "On The Money." And how Greece is the fountain of youth.

Today, in Manila living a Travelife, a good friend very kindly invited to a nice advanced birthday lunch.

I was still craving for Thai food, in spite of having recently spent a week in Thailand, so we went to Benjarong, at the Dusit Thani Manila, which is the best Thai restaurant in Manila, as far as I'm concerned.

THE 3,000-CALORIE LUNCH

"No diets today," I was told, so we promptly ordered everything I like in Benjarong, including the pomelo salad, the pad thai and a dish with a name I can never remember.

But when I tell the waiter I want the "pork neck," they always know what I mean.

It's a plate of very tender slices of pork, served with a tamarind and onion sauce.

The former country manager of Thai Airways got me hooked on this a long time ago.

And now I order it every single time I'm at Benjarong, living a Travelife.

I also received a lovely present, which made me pretty happy.

GREECE IS THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH

Then, a comment that made my day: "You're glowing. What have you been doing?"

A couple of people have asked me the same question, including the lady who does my facials.

And all I can think of is the fact that I spent three wonderful weeks in the Greek islands last month, living a Travelife.

THE BENEFITS OF FRESH

It was all fresh air, fresh food and all kinds of organic things -- from organic skincare products to organic juices.

In fact, I brought back a ton of organic skincare products, which I've been very happy with.

BACK TO GREECE IN 2015

Those happy days in Greece are making me want to put Greece back into my travel plans for 2015.

I especially want to go back to Crete, which I found really fascinating on this second visit. I also enjoyed Athens a lot, as always.

Oh yes. Since I returned from Bangkok two weekends ago, a personal trainer has been coming over at 7 AM to do a stretch session everyday.

I don't look forward to it at all, when I get up at 630 AM every morning to be ready by 7 AM. But afterwards I am so glad I did it.

RIGHT ON THE MONEY

Then, after lunch, I rushed across town to the ABS-CBN studios to make it just in the nick of time for the taping of the show "On the Money."

I literally slid into my seat and then the cameras began rolling.

We had a very enjoyable time talking about how to budget for a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife. I guess you know how I answered that...
