Gordon Ramsay opens Bread Street Kitchen & Bar in Lan Kwai Fong, Hong Kong


World-famous British chef Gordon Ramsay has just opened Bread Street Kitchen & Bar Hong Kong.

Gordon and Stuart Gillies, the Managing Director of Gordon Ramsay Group, were in Hong Kong today to welcome local dignitaries and  media from around the world.

COMBINING LONDON AND ASIA
IN LAN KWAI FONG

“This is an exciting step, entering the amazing food culture of the Asian market with one of our successful London concepts,” said Gordon Ramsay.

He added, “I'm excited to be in the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, it’s a vibrant, lively place for everyone.”

Someone asked him if he's tried some Chinese specialties while in Hong Kong so far.

He replied: “We tried the local famous braised pork belly, the Chinese Beijing duck, and other delicious dishes which gave us a great night!”

He added: “There are five flights per day from London to Hong Kong, and it’s so convenient being able to fly into Hong Kong in just 12 hours! It’s amazing how accessible it is and the teams here and I will be back and forth a lot.”

AND GORDON RAMSAY'S PLANS FOR ASIA



Bread Kitchen will have a mixture of British and Asian influences.

Gordon Ramsay explained:“Bread Street Kitchen menu uses specially imported British artisanal products with local influences and local products like tamarind spiced chicken wings with spring onions and coriander. So that gives some local influences tailored to suit the local market.”

He obviously has more plans from Asia from hereon. Gordon Ramsay said, "You’d better get used to us. We have more plans for Asia and are looking at plans for Macau."
