THE ALL BLACK HAMBURGER

Burger King Japan is launching two new black hamburger products. Yes, you read right. Black hamburgers, and they really mean business about the "black."

The hamburger bun is black, the cheese is black and the sauce of the burger is black.

KURO PEARL AND KURO DIAMOND
ON SALE IN JAPAN FROM SEPTEMBER 19

The Kuro Pearl burger and the Kuro Pearl Diamond will be on sale at all Burger King outlets in Japan from September 19.

What exactly is a black burger, you might be asking.

The Kuro beef patty is made with black pepper and the sauce of the burger is blackened with squid ink.

Meanwhile the black Kuro cheese is an original Burger King Japan invention using charcoal.

WHAT'S IN A KURO PEARL

For Kuro Pearl, the grilled hamburger of about 115 grams and cheese are placed in between two Kuro buns and then seasoned with the black sauce coloured with squid ink.

Burger King Japan calls it a simple, premium product.

WHAT'S IN A KURO DIAMOND

For Kuro Diamond, which is the more premium product, lettuce, tomato, onions and mayonnaise will be added.

The Kuro Diamond will sell for 690 yen and it will come with a can of Coke Zero. How appropriate.

Meanwhile, the Kuro Pearl will sell for 480 yen, and for 750 yen for a set that will include French fries and a drink.

How's that for another delicious reason to head back to Japan, in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife?
