All about the new Samsung Galaxy S5

Samsung.com

Somewhere in the world today, living a Travelife, I was looking at the new Samsung Galaxy S5.

I'm not a big phone person and I actually love my Blackberry still -- talk about being super faithful here. But, as it seems I'm the last person still holding a Blackberry, I've started to look at other phones.

AN IPHONE IN A PINCH

I still have my Blackberry as nothing in the world beats push email, in my opinion.

I'm also sentimental about it because it's kept me company through thick and thin in the last three-and-a-half years. During the Great Kanto earthquake of 2011 in Japan, for instance, Blackberry was the only device that worked.

But I also just got an iPhone.

SIX DEVICES IN MY HANDBAG

This was taken with my iPod,
which is the 6th device in my handbag

So now, in my bag are six different gadgets that I really should streamline and merge into two devices.

But I went out and bought stylish black cases for all of them -- and now I have gotten used to having six devices in my handbag.

TWO TABLETS AND JUST ONE ME

This includes an iPad mini and the Samsung Galaxy Tablet that the Travel Companion gave me a few weeks ago.

They're basically the same device -- camera and WiFi capability and all -- so in a perfect world, I really shouldn't be carrying them both.

But I realised that having all these devices enables me to keep track of all our social networks so easily, without logging off one account and then logging into another. And then logging off and logging back into the original account again.

LIFE BEFORE AND AFTER
MY SAMSUNG GALAXY TABLET

It's a major nuisance to keep logging on and off continuously, but that's what I'd been doing until this Samsung Galaxy Tablet came into my life.

Now I keep one account permanently on one device and it makes work and social networking infinitely easier.

And now I'm looking at the new Samsung Galaxy S5 that literally appeared on the market today, in strategic cities all over the world.

What's so great about it, you might be wondering, aside from the fact that it's perfect for a never-ending Travelife.

ALL ABOUT A POWERFUL NEW BATTERY

For one thing, it's got a more powerful battery with Ultra Power Savings Mode.

In real life, this translates as:

150 hours of usage without having to re-charge
or 7 days
or 119 photos taken
or 86 texts sent
or 4 minutes of video footage taken

Talk about mobility and portability in a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.
