Singapore Airlines launches its new First Class, Business Class and Economy Class seats

Tonight, straight from work and living a Travelife, I headed to the cocktail party hosted by Singapore Airlines to launch their new seat designs for their first class, business class and economy class sections.

It was a well-attended party, headed no less by Finance Secretary Cesar Purisima and a lot of business bigwigs who are also frequent fliers.

I guess, just like me, everyone was curious to see what the new First Class and Business Class look like.

Scroll down to read more...

A GREAT SEAT
IN A PERFECT WORLD

Of course, in a perfect world, we would all love to ride the new First Class of Singapore Airlines.

The new seat is 35 inches wide and it's upholstered in leather and padded with lots of cushions for comfort.

It also has a 24-inch LCD screen, mood lighting and a very convenient bed headrest.

THE NEW BUSINESS CLASS

But, for the information of frequent fliers who fly more on Club Class than First Class, Singapore Airlines' new business class is 28 inches wide, and it can recline in a variety of positions including Lazy Z and Sundeck.

The personal screen is 18 inches and there's a cool reading light and a specially crafted stowage space for laptops -- perfect for the business traveler.

LOOKING COMFY IN FIRST

I spotted Globe CEO Ernest Cu trying out the First Class seat, so I just had to snap a photo.

Of course, I told him: "That looks perfect for a CEO."

Weng Domingo, wife of Secretary Domingo, joined us, so we had a bit of fun getting our photos taken in First Class.

And certainly looking like we were living a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife...
