This Christmas, living a Travelife, I did lots of good things for myself.
I actually love staying home for the holidays as about 50% of my friends are also in town for at least part of the time.
So I take the opportunity of this lull in a usually terribly busy schedule to catch up with them.

SO NICE TO MEET OLD FRIENDS
So today I had a long lunch with very old friends, talking about Travel and Life.
And business opportunities.
The husband of my friend M has a radar for seeing business opportunities everywhere, and I came away from lunch so revved up to finish a business plan I've been making for something I'm launching early next year.
I went straight back to office from lunch and plunged into the business plan.
ROAST CHICKEN FOR DINNER
Then tonight, a couple of very old friends are coming over for dinner.
They're in town from Singapore for the holidays, and so far we've always had dinner at home every December 26th.
For dinner, I'm making French-style roast chicken, ribs and all sorts of comfort food.
And then, if dinner finishes early, I'm supposed to head out and catch the tail-end of a friend's birthday party somewhere in this city.

HEALTHY HABITS THIS CHRISTMAS
But I've also been doing lots of good things for myself these past few days.
On Christmas Eve, I actually had an early Pilates session with Brenda Lim of UP Pilates.
That was a great way to start a day that usually involves too much eating and fun, and too little exercise.
Then on Christmas Day, I actually walked five rounds of the field at the Manila Polo Club before dinner, in anticipation of the big meal I was going to have several hours later.
That's about five kilometers as one round around the polo field is supposed to be just over a kilometer, if I remember right.
So I put on my iPod and did the rounds. It was such a cool and nice evening for doing so, and I would've gone on and on if only I didn't have dinner waiting.
And in between all the fun and the healthy things, I've been catching up on lots of work, before my never-endingly eventful Travelife starts all over again.
Wherever in the world you happen to be, we wish you a most wonderful holiday and an amazing Travelife for 2014.
