Last night was a really fun and relaxing evening, in Manila, living a Travelife.
I had dinner at the Goose Station with some friends.
None of us had been to this restaurant for a while. However it became the de facto choice when we realized that none of us wanted to venture far from home because of the Friday night traffic.

NICE TIMES AT THE GOOSE STATION
I have very nice memories of the Goose Station, so I was happy to go along with this choice.
We had the express menu, which was a three-course meal, with a delicious amuse bouche to start as well.
THREE COURSES AT THE GOOSE STATION
For my three courses, I chose the Goose version of eggs benedict (which is my favorite breakfast dish), followed by their famous 24-hour steak, and then the chocolate caramel to end.
The 24-hour steak was especially delicious.
I almost always have this during the few times I eat here.
But tonight's 24-hour steak was probably the best one so far.
PERFECT FOR TALKING
We'd all been on several safaris to Africa, and they'd been on way more than me and my eight safaris so far.
But tonight, in particular, we'd compared experiences in Tanzania, especially as we'd all stayed at the lovely Ngorongoro Crater Lodge -- although not at the same time, of course.

MIDNIGHT AT THE PENINSULA MANILA
Then after dinner, I headed to the lobby of the Peninsula Manila to meet another group of friends getting together for after-dinner drinks.
The lobby of the Peninsula Manila is now all lighted up in such a lovely way, making me feel very Christmas-y indeed.
The lobby was full of pre-Christmas merrymakers, as well.
To top it off, a famous politician was holding a party at the Salon de Ning tonight, so we watched in amusement as a couple of controversial headline-making politicians made their way past us.

A TRAVELIFE SORT OF TAG
One of the couples last night and I have been playing tag halfway across the world for some months now.
I was in Spain in September and then they were there, almost in exactly the same places, just two weeks later. Then, just a short time later, we were all in Africa at almost the same time.
And then, when I next looked at my watch, it was 230 AM and it was the end of another nice Friday night and just the start of a pretty busy and enjoyable weekend ahead, in Manila, living a never-endingly eventful Travelife.
