On my way to Cape Town, and then Northern Cape for four safaris

Good evening from the MIASCOR lounge of NAIA 1 in Manila, on my way to Cape Town for another chapter in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.

I've had a really busy day wrapping loose ends up at work, and now I'm looking forward to a proper dinner on the plane and a good night's sleep -- especially as it's been one late night after another every single evening for the past two weeks.

EXACTLY ONE MONTH AGO

Interestingly, I was just in this same lounge exactly four weeks ago, on our way to Doha on Qatar Airways, and then onwards to Tanzania, for three safaris and a stay in the exotic island of Zanzibar.

What a nice feeling that was, on the eve of a big adventure. Just like now.

In the Selous, Tanzania

Two friends were on the same flight -- one of them was going with me to Tanzania and the other was on the way to Europe, and we were all in the same cabin of Qatar Airways.

TWO FRIENDS IN ONE LOUNGE

I knew they were both already in the Qatar Airways lounge across the corridor from the Miascor lounge, so I decided to let them talk to each other without me.

I headed for the Miascor lounge instead to catch up on last-minute work before my Tanzania holiday.

OFF TO ITALY TO SEE THE POPE

At the Miascor lounge, I bumped into a bunch of old schoolmates on their way to Italy on an Emirates flight, and on their way for an audience with the Pope.

So I sat and chatted with them for a while before crossing the corridor to see these two friends in the Qatar Airways lounge.

How funny to think that this was exactly one month ago.

A WHOLE LIFETIME AGO

It almost seems like a lifetime has passed, especially when I think of all our amazing adventures and experiences in two weeks in Tanzania.

We also had the very successful Rob Schneider concert in Manila and so many other things besides.

Yes, every single trip, and every single day is truly interesting and wonderful, in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.

Next stop, Hong Kong and then Cape Town.
