Taping a show for ANC's On The Money today

Today in Manila, living a Travelife, I spent much of this afternoon at the ABS-CBN studios shooting a segment of a television show on ANC called On The Money with host Edric Mendoza.

BUDGETING FOR A TRAVELIFE

He wanted to know how savvy travelers should budget for travel expenses.

So I gave him the low-down on planning for a trip, the best way I know how.

After the taping, we had a short chat. He just couldn't believe how I am forever on a never-endingly eventful Travelife.

PLANES, TRAINS, VERY FEW BUSES

I told him: "Yes, I basically live in hotels and airplanes."

Then, just for discussion's sake, I guess, he asked me: "Where was your last trip? And where are you headed next?"

I did say I'm forever traveling after all.

SPAIN LAST MONTH. TANZANIA NEXT WEEK.

So I replied: "I was just in Spain for two weeks, and I'm off to Tanzania in a few days."

That certainly sounded pretty exotic to him.

And with that, another afternoon in a busy and never-endingly eventful Travelife ended.

I had to get out of Quezon City as soon as possible, to make it to the home of the Ambassador of Spain tonight for some fantastic paella and lots of talk about the wonderful life -- or rather, the wonderful Travelife -- in Spain.
