Happiness is a box of Krispy Kreme's Krispy Kroissants

Just when I was craving for something sweet after a rather detox lunch, someone sent over a box of freshly-baked Krispy Kreme Krispy Kroissants.

I think he read one of my Facebook posts, wherein I'd admitted that I haven't had a cronut yet. And of course everyone around me has been raving about cronuts.

GIVING IN TO A CRAVING

So he did one better.

He sent me the very latest offerings of Krispy Kreme, which are called Krispy Kroissants. They were still hot in the box when they arrived.

These are the very latest products out of Krispy Kreme.

There's a Krispy Kreme right along the Bonifacio High Street strip that I always pass by. But each time I'm tempted to go in, I remember my diet of sorts.

But this afternoon was the perfect time to forget about a diet, as I've been working pretty hard for the last 48 hours. I deserved a Krispy Kreme Krispy Kroissant.

In fact, I deserved six of them.

BETTER THAN A CRONUT

What a delicous treat this is, in a never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.

It's half-croissant, half-doughnut and fully baked.

Cronuts are all the rage these days, but the Krispy Kroissant really takes the cronut experience a notch higher by making it literally melt in your mouth with layers as crisp as a croissant.

THE SECRET'S IN THE BAKING

The typical cronut is fried, you see, rather than baked. And this makes all the difference in the world.

My box of Krispy Kreme Kroissants had all the flavors. Lucky me.

ALL THE FLAVORS

The chocolate Kroissant was made with Belgian chocolate ganache, while the apple cinammon Kroissant came with real apple chunks.

Meanwhile, the strawberry Kroissant had a whip of strawberries in it, and the vanilla glaze Kroissant was topped with a finger-licking sugar glaze.

As you can imagine, after a box of Krispy Kroissants, I'm planning not to eat for a year.

Or at least until the next trip in my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife...
