THE BEST OF KUALA LUMPUR & BORDEAUX

In this issue, we bring you the best of both Kuala Lumpur and Bordeaux in a way that few travel magazines are able to do.

These are two very different destinations, but equally wonderful and certainly worth exploring.

Fortunately, we’ve done the time and legwork in both destinations for you, resulting in perhaps the most comprehensive coverage of what you should do and see in these places.

Indeed, no one travels like us. Or writes like us.

Don't leave home without us, if you're planning to visit Kuala Lumpur or Bordeaux.

TRAVELIFE BRINGS YOU
THE BEST RESTAURANT IN THE WORLD

Jerome Velasco (Travelife Magazine's Hungry Traveler columnist) snagged a table at El Celler de Can Roca in Spain just several weeks before it was named the best restaurant in the world.

Since then it has become one of the hardest to make a reservation at, as well.

So we have in this issue of Travelife Magazine perhaps one of the first and most painstakingly detailed accounts you’ll ever read of dinner at the #1 restaurant on the planet, circa 2013.

It’s a 23-course meal, by the way, that even includes an olive tree as an appetizer and perfume towards the end.

TRAVELIFE BRINGS YOU
ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL DRIVES IN THE WORLD

Dondi Joseph (Travelife Magazine's Trigger Happy columnist) recently drove from Los Angeles to San Francisco on the iconic 1055-kilometer long Pacific 101 Highway.

This is a road full of adventure, nice beaches and great restaurants.

Dondi shortlists six things to do on that ultimate roadtrip.

TOUGH CHOICES AT MIDNIGHT

Gabby Malvar (Travelife Magazine's Viajero Chronicles columnist) took a 4 AM flight to Samar the day after a Travelife party that ended way past midnight.

He was actually playing and singing hit songs from the 1980s on someone’s grand piano at about 12:15 AM, when he suddenly announced his departure.

Of course, we all tried to persuade him to stay, even if it meant missing his flight a few hours later.

If I miss my flight to Samar, you won’t have an article in the next issue,” he said, with a wink and a smile, as he stood up to go.

I’m glad he left us hanging that night because the result is a poignant and philosophical tale – the kind that only he can really tell – about a dramatically beautiful coast lined with stunning rock formations.

His piece will definitely encourage you to plan a trip there sometime soon.

LONDON'S HOTTEST SHOE DESIGNER
IS NOW A TRAVELIFE COLUMNIST

In this issue, we also introduce Aruna Seth, the newest columnist of Travelife Magazine.

She will be recording her travels under a column called Travels in Heels.

Aside from being a tireless traveler, Aruna is one of London's hottest shoe designers.

She's reportedly Royal sister-in-law Pippa Middleton's favorite shoe designer.

And if I'm not mistaken, Pippa Middleton wore an Aruna Seth creation to the wedding of the decade between her sister Kate Middleton (now Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge) and Prince William.

For her first column, Aruna writes about one long and never-endingly eventful trip that took her from Cannes to London to New York.
