Good morning from the beaches of Sri Lanka, having vegetable soup and coconut juice.

Breakfast in real-time, living a never-ending Travelife....

Good morning from sunny Sri Lanka, having a healthy breakfast right by the beach, living a Travelife.

A squirrel has just jumped onto the back of my chair as I answer emails and write out this short blog, reminding me again that I'm in one giant nature reserve that just happens to have some people in it.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN A TRAVELIFE

From where I'm sitting it's a gorgeous view.

I'm so lucky that the weather today is perfect. It's actually cool but sunny.

I think this is the coolest mid-morning I've ever had so far, in five trips or so to Sri Lanka.

SRI LANKA'S BEAUTIFUL BEACHES

Sri Lanka's golden beach in real-time...

In front of me are Sri Lanka's famous golden beaches.

Yes, the sand is really a honey-gold color. And it's a windy day, but there are so many traditional sailboats out for a fish or perhaps a leisure trip, making the entire scene so picturesque.

I've decided to try and eat healthy everyday while I am here, so breakfast today consisted of the traditional Sri Lankan breakfast soup of Kola Kanda, plus glasses of king coconut juice, some fruit, and sugarless ginger tea.

THE PANACEA FOR PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING

Kola Kanda is the Sri Lankan cure-all for everything, by the way, and I think I'm going to swear by it.

After a pretty long day spent flying and waiting at airports, I was not in the perkiest of health this morning. But this Kola Kanda certainly did wonders for me.

I should've slept onboard the two flights, but I was just too busy thinking about a couple of things to relax my mind...

AYURVEDA TO KICK OFF MY SRI LANKAN JOURNEY

I've also just fixed my schedule for today.

I got my driver and guide to come around at noon to pick me up for some sightseeing, and then I've booked some ayurveda treatments in the late afternoon.

There's also a cocktail party hosted by the general manager of my hotel this evening.

As I am alone today here, I thought I'd drop by and have a chat about what's new in Sri Lanka -- something to blog about perhaps, aside from my never-ending, and never-endingly eventful Travelife.
