Tonight in Manila, living a Travelife, I had dinner with H.E. Roberto Mayorga, the Ambassador of Chile.
Over a casual but delicious Italian meal, we talked about the project "Smiles for the World" that he'd started.
It's a simple photo and caption contest that aims to collect and select the photographs that best capture the warmth and sincerity of Filipinos.

Ambassador Mayorga is a big fan of Filipinos.
He thinks we have some of the nicest and kindest people in the world, and that this characteristic of Filipinos should be better promoted worldwide.
In his opinion, so few countries still have such sincerity, and it's important that Filipinos keep this quality in their hearts.
COMING UP SOON:
A TRAVELIFE TO CHILE
We also talked about organizing a Travelife to Chile that would take in the best attractions of this diverse country, and also offer rare and unique opportunities to truly experience a people and a culture.
It would be a Travelife to Chile with an emphasis on encounters with inspiring people in Chile, and full of real interactions for an authentic calidad humana trip.
Apart from encounters with artists and writers, I also suggested private wine tastings with the owners of the top vineyards, and a visit to the space station in the desert -- basically the kind of things I do when I go on my own Travelife.
If you want bragging rights for amazing experiences in Chile, this is one trip you should be thinking of going on...
I like to mix culture, history, art and leisure with interesting encounters with locals and best-of-breed experiences. That's what a Travelife is all about.

I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE EXCITED FOR CHILE
Anyway, I'd asked my friend Mr. Jaded to come along with me to dinner tonight because photography is his passion. Also, after nine days together in India, I guess I got used to having him around.
And we both got really excited about Chile, after learning about the amazing and diverse attractions the ambassador had outlined. It sounds like a truly rich and interesting country.
And each time the good ambassador described some wonderful attraction, Mr. Jaded sitting next to me would whisper: "We have to do that."
THE DECIDING MOMENT
FOR THE TRAVELIFE TO CHILE
Looks like I already have my first sign-up even before the trip is officially planned. And after hearing about the charms of Chile, we certainly do need to organize this trip.
Somewhere in that conversation was the point that I'd decided to organize a Travelife to Chile for Travelife readers and friends.
