A Travelife lunch for 20+ ambassadors and some industry friends

Today I spent most of the day at work, meeting people and looking over the final proofs of our next issue of Travelife Magazine, which will be on the news stands on April 15.

It's a whopper of an issue in ever sense, by the way. It's our thickest issue ever.

We have great travel articles from South Africa, Morocco, Israel, Australia, Taipei, Bali and Charlottesville, Virginia, among many others; and every piece is so interesting and inviting.

ALWAYS TRAVELERS FIRST, WRITERS SECOND.

We really have a wonderful bunch of passionate travelers contributing great articles and photographs to Travelife Magazine. And, unlike in other magazines, they're travelers first, and writers second. Fortunately for us, they do both well.

IMHO, this is one of the things that make us the leading travel & lifestyle publication.

Looking over the final proofs of the next issue of Travelife today made me hanker for another Travelife very soon. And to think I just got back from a pretty amazing trip to India that was so full of discovery and luxury at the same time.

I would've been away this week, as well, except that my trip to Kuala Lumpur suddenly got canceled.

A TRAVELIFE LUNCH FOR FRIENDS

I also did the final planning for a lunch I'm hosting soon for some good friends and contacts.

It's summer so the pace of life even in hectic Manila is not too fast, and there's actually a bit of time to figuratively smell the roses.

I thought this would be the perfect time to host a relaxing lunch to talk about travel and life, over delicious food and in a beautiful venue.

20 AMBASSADORS & COUNTING...

Well, back at work today, I looked over the RSVP list my staff has been ever so diligently putting together while I was exploring temples and relaxing in palaces in India, living a Travelife.

I was so happy to see that about 20 ambassadors have so far accepted my invitation, along with many of my industry friends.

When you have over 20 ambassadors at your party, that's practically a National Day event in Manila.

I'm counting on a few more ambassadors joining us as well, as many ambassadors are only returning from holidays on Wednesday, and I know they'll come to my party if they're free.

VERY IMPORTANT PEOPLE.
NO LIGHTWEIGHTS.
NO CAMERAS EXCEPT OUR OWN.

It'll certainly be a fun, high-powered but low-key event.

We have many very important people coming but we're not doing this for publicity, so the guest list is very select and the only media present will be Travelife Magazine as the host.

I  simply organized this to enjoy some real discussions about the joys of travel and life -- and a never-endingly eventful Travelife.
