Tonight I went to watch Sting, live at the Araneta Center.
I don't watch too many pop music concerts, but Sting brings back memories of another time and another life, so I thought I should watch it for old times' sake.
The evening began nicely with wine and wonderful appetizers courtesy of S, and then off we went to the Araneta Center for some major memory lane visiting.
LIKE ONE BIG PARTY
Araneta Center was almost full, and there were so many people from the same generation. It was like a reunion, although people who'd gone both to the Sting concert and to the Tears For Fears concert earlier this year said that the Tears For Fears concert was much more like one big college party.
By the way, we've just joined Pinterest, and we'll be posting our travel photos here from our never-ending Travelife, with comments and descriptions that won't make it either to the magazine or this blog. If you have a Pinterest account, please follow us!
We're uploading lots of photos from our South Africa trip this month.

Sting is pretty mellow music compared to Tears for Fears, but I like him. He has a great and deep voice, and his songs are cool. Even when they're about sentimental things like love and heartache, they're not the tearjerker kind of music -- more like music that makes you think instead of making you cry.
I don't like soap opera music, so this is my kind of listening.
IF I EVER LOSE MY FAITH IN YOU
You could say I lost my faith in science and progress
You could say I lost my belief in the holy church
You could say I lost my sense of direction
You could say all of this and worse
but If I ever lose my faith in you
There'd be nothing left for me to do
WE'LL BE TOGETHER
To have you with me
I would swim the seven seas
I need you as my guide in my life
My love is a flame that burns in your name
We'll be together tonight
BE STILL MY BEATING HEART
Be still my beating heart
You must learn to stand your ground
It's not healthy to run at this pace
The blood runs so red to my face
I've been to every single book I know
To soothe the thoughts that plague me so
Stop before you start
