Soprano Katrina Saporsantos performs at the CCP on August 29


As part of its program to promote outstanding young Filipino artists, the Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) is presenting soprano Katrina Saporsantos in a special concert on Wednesday, August 29, at 730 PM.

Soprano Katrina Saporsantos was already very active in the classical music scene even while still a student at the University of the Philippines.

Highlights of her professional engagements then include performances at the International Bamboo Organ Festival, the San Agustin International Music Festival and the 12th Pundaquit Music Festival, and several stints as orchestral soloist.

While studying at the Manhattan School of Music where she completed her Professional Studies Certificate and her Master of Music degree in Classical Voice Performance, she performed for the production Griffelkin, an opera by the great American composer Lucas Foss, as well as several roles in various opera scenes concerts.

She was First Prize winner of Manhattan School of Music’s 2008 Eisenberg-Fried Concerto Competition (Voice).
