Jojo Serrano
Advertising Director

Jojo Serrano is a 14-year veteran of the advertising industry. Previously she was in events management. When she isn't talking up Travelife Magazine with her former industry colleagues, she indulges in serious bouts of retail therapy and, of course, as much traveling as she can fit into her busy schedule. Her dream is to one day take three months off from work and sail around the Mediterranean.

Has roughing it ever been an option for a mode of travel?
Sometimes. But I try to avoid it as much as possible. I prefer luxury whenever I have the choice.

What is your primary survival tool for travel?
My credit card. And someday I want one without a spending limit -- and hopefully one I also won't have to worry about paying back!

Concrete Jungle? Or Jungle jungle?
More like Lipstick Jungle! I love the idea of bright and attractive women who are normal and nice, and yet are trying to have it all: a family, a great career in the big city, a nice house, a fabulous wardrobe and lots of success. Go for it!

What’s the most memorable meal you’ve ever had?
Fantastic sushi in a hole-in-the-wall place in Kyoto, Japan. A good friend took me their some years back and the sushi that melted in my mouth just blew me away. I never saw sushi in the same way again after that evening.

Travel destination you’d return in a heartbeat?
Kyoto, of course. And maybe Amanpulo. I just loved it. If I'm able to return, I'll take the sunset cruise, order a bottle of champagne, and just enjoy what for me is the most perfect setting in the world.

Gel Bayona
Director of Business Development

Multi-talented multi-tasker Gel Bayona has been with Travelife since its inception, so she's pretty much been one of the major players in making Travelife the leading travel & lifestyle publication in the Philippines. She was previously involved in other industries, which has turned out to be a great asset in terms of generating ideas, tapping an extensive network, and getting us the record number of ads we now have in our magazine. This is a photo of Gel with presidential candidate Gilbert Teodoro, by the way, on the afternoon he made time in his busy schedule to shoot the breeze with Travelife editors at the Peninsula Manila. Read about his very candid thoughts on travel and life after a presidency in our new April-May 2010 issue!

Has roughing it ever been an option for a mode of travel?
Yes, sometimes i just want a simple, nature tripping and kind of connecting to my personal and spiritual self.

What is your primary survival tool for travel?
My kikay kit, where all my toiletries are packed.

Concrete Jungle? Or Jungle jungle?
Concrete Jungle. Definitely.

What’s the most memorable meal you’ve ever had?
When I was with my son at Bangkok Thailand, we had a great, sumptuous mixture of Thai Cuisine at Siam City Hotel.

Travel destination you’d return to in a heartbeat?
I would love to visit Greece and Rome again.
